We want to develop our outdoor learning environment so children can spend more time in the outdoors taking part in high-quality activities.
About this cause
Our organisation supports the work of our local Primary School. We help to organise and run or support a series of events throughout the school year. These events and initiatives help to raise vital funds which are used to develop the learning opportunities on offer at the school. Our fundraising has helped the school to develop the school grounds, purchase new musical instruments and pay for exciting visits in the last year. This year, we are supporting the school to develop their new library, ICT suite and playground facilities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will provide opportunities for children to socialise and interact with one another through games and problem solving. It will allow the school to offer different team games such as basketball which will provide new opportunities for children in the community. The older children will be trained by staff to support younger children in some of the activities as playground leaders.
