We want to support Out of School Childcare Clubs, delivering workshops to support and tackle childhood obesity.
About this cause
Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs is a voluntary charitable organisation (1093260) and a company limited by guarantee (4296436). Set up in October 2001, it exists to help communities in Wales by promoting, developing and supporting quality, affordable, accessible Out of School Childcare Clubs. Currently, Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs supports 1,534 clubs offering a total of 42,403 childcare places. Running either side of the school day, on weekends, and during holidays, Out of School Childcare Clubs enable parents or carers to return to work, education or training knowing their children are being cared for by qualified Playworkers in a high quality provision. Childcare clubs therefore have a significant impact on the economic regeneration of an area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Out of School Childcare Clubs are set up in local communities; by the local communities. By bringing together and educating through play, children and Playworkers of the importance of staying healthy in order to live longer, the project aims to reduce the risk of childhood obesity. It will develop a sense of achievement when educating children and Playworkers and our future generations.
