We want to refurbish the ground floor of the village hall to meet health and safety standards and provide accessible facilities.
About this cause
The Kings Bromley Village Hall Committee is a sub-committee of the Parish Council and provides two meeting rooms for hire, a snooker room and a small village Post Office plus storage of the village archives. It is the main meeting place for our community and provides the only available rooms in the village for functions and parties. At the rear of the building is the village playground which is also maintained by the Parish Council. The village hall is in urgent need of refurbishment to bring it up to modern health and safety standards.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have held a launch day for the community in the hall at which the village choir sang and the WI provided drinks and cakes. It was an opportunity for the parishioners to see and comment on the proposals. We are leafleting every home in the village asking for support and donations and to date several of the village societies that use the hall have kindly donated money to the fund.
