We are passionate about making counselling available to everyone who needs it, with our busy Broxbourne centre delivering professional counselling to about 48 people every week. One in four people suffer from mental health issues - counselling can enable them to understand the causes and find the tools for recovery. Many have not been able to access NHS counselling because of its budget restrictions or because they need long-term therapy.
This project supports cohesion by providing counselling to improve family life, reduce isolation and encourage people back into volunteering or paid work. The counselling is open to all adults, including all races, religions, ages and sexualities. Counselling also promotes equality by supporting those with mental health, other disabilities and supporting those on low incomes.
