We want to take disadvantaged children on trips away to places like the seaside, cinema, bowling, arts projects, and zoos.
About this cause
We provide holidays to disadvantaged children across Rochdale and Rossendale during the school holidays. Children are referred through children's social care or their schools for a place. During term time, local schools use the facilities as a base for their residential trips. These are usually special schools or schools with a high number of disadvantaged children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Many of the children who attend never get the chance to go on holiday. They may be a young carer or other circumstances which mean there are limited funds within the family. The children will be brought together to make new friends, gain life experiences and most importantly have fun in a caring and engaging environment.
