About this cause

We have been providing a service in the Selby area from April 2013 in response to local need, filling a vital gap in support available for young people living with a disability and their families. We pride ourselves on offering a unique service that enables and empowers the people we work with to live full lives. We provide a safe and secure environment for children and young people to socialize with their peers, to build confidence, independence and social skills. We offer parents the "time out" that they might need. Care can be provided for children and young people from 8 years to 25 years within our group settings, we also are able to provide care and support to younger children and older adults with a combination of additional needs including physical, mental and behavioral.

How this cause brings people in the community together

A sensory garden encourages young people to be outside more, run around which in turn promotes physical and emotional well being. Our Garden will be available to be used by all the community young and old. Allowing a safe place to play, have fun and chat. It will grow with the children, stimulate learning, interaction with nature and a safe place to develop friendships.
