About this cause

We support people living in the diverse borough of Lewisham, particularly those who are socially isolated, primarily; older people, those experiencing mental health difficulties, people with a physical or learning disability or a long term health condition. As a timebank we provide a mutual support network where people can find a project or a space where they can spend time and share skills with others as they wish. We create spaces where people belong, feel useful and are valued through the projects and the creative activities they partake in. We aim to create a cohesive community in Lewisham, where neighbours get to know and can rely on each other for help and support, and where people of different ages, cultures, backgrounds and abilities interact.

How this cause brings people in the community together

At the heart of Bellingham, St Dunstan's Church is an ideal location for local residents. It is wheelchair accessible. Tiered activity levels will make the sessions suitable for all abilities & ages. It is a space friendships are made. Participants collectively plan, prepare and attend local community days including the Bellingham Festival to showcase their work and encourage more people to join.
