We want to improve the lighting in the car park at the rear of the library to make it safer to use on winter evenings.
About this cause
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Barrow-Upon-Soar and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary organisations and inhabitants in an effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and leisure time occupation, to improve living conditions.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Barrow Community Library is run by volunteers and provides many services to the community. These services include book lending, free computer and Internet access, children's stories, talks, and many other activities. Safe access to the library on winter evenings is essential.
