'Access for All' to Axbridge Parish Church

We want to build a ramp to provide easy and dignified "access for all" to our lovely, ancient church building.
About this cause
The PCC administers the Grade 1 Listed Parish Church of St John the Baptist, set above the medieval Square at the centre of Axbridge. The church is there for all in the community and visitors, of all faiths or none, for worship, for civic celebrations, for concerts and exhibitions and to experience the heritage of this ancient building. Our objective is to ensure that the church building continues to provide a living and vibrant hub, accessible to all, at the centre of our community for generations to come.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Local Groups and Organisations, including Local History, Community Theatre Group, Camera Club, Axbridge School, Genealogy Group and Chamber of Commerce will participate in developing the heritage aspects of our project and thereafter be involved in regular events and exhibitions, ensuring that our church continues to be a living building for all in our community.
