We want to revamp our back room so that we can use it for arts, crafts and training for vulnerable women and the wider community.
About this cause
Our primary aim is to support and empower vulnerable women in Christchurch and surrounding areas by providing free 1:1 support, free craft and training and a free weekly meal with befrienders. Our objective is to build their self-esteem and support them back into either voluntary or paid work, to equip them to be better parents and help them back into independent living.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to run free or heavily discounted courses on: Assertiveness, domestic violence and abuse, mindfulness, coping with anxiety, depression, eating disorders etc. We will reach out to various groups including pre-school, the elderly, isolated, lonely and those with mental health issues
