About this cause
To improve the quality of support for unpaid Carers in the Carlisle area. It is the vision of Carlisle Carers that all unpaid Carers will have full access to services and full support in their caring roles. They will have support to fulfil their own needs as individuals and have services in place to help them move forward when their caring role comes to an end. Carlisle carers aims to get recognition for the massive contribution unpaid Carers make to local societies.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Giving unpaid Carers the chance to meet others in the same situation who live locally to themselves. Enabling sharing of ideas, growth of friendships, and reducing isolation. Raising awareness of how much unpaid Carers contribute to their locality, and helping to identify those who don't consider themselves as Carers.
