The Club aims to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in the London Borough of Bexley and neighbouring boroughs and the local area who are socially excluded on the grounds of their age, and by relieving their needs, help them to integrate into society. In particular we look to provide computer training and other skills and advancing their physical and mental health. Our logo of “Computerise, Exercise and Socialise and motto - “Never too old to learn” describe the core activities we undertake. Our activities enable local seniors maintain/ improve their health and wellbeing through weekly exercise classes e.g Chairobics, Computing Courses 1:1 as well as groups, Bridge and Social Activities, the latter is to address depression and isolation.
Our club is unique in the borough providing Social Activities, as well as physical & mental activities: Chairobics, ICT & Bridge, with proven health benefits, all under one roof for the vulnerable elderly in a safe environment at a nominal entrance charge. The social environment of the club encourages friendship groups to form & network support systems to develop. They meet outside club sessions.
