About this cause

DRCET deliver a range of environmental projects and services across the west of Glasgow (inc Yoker, Knightswood, Scotstoun, Whietinch, Broomhill, Thornwood and Jordanhill). Our vision is of vibrant, thriving and resilient communities where people are inspired and empowered to get active, get involved and make a difference for their communities, future generations and the planet. We work with a range of local people and community organisations, including local primary schools, to protect and enhance the local environment and to increase the wellbeing and resilience of local people and communities. Our services including our blog, monthly eNews, community clean ups and litter picks, our bike recycling project, cycling skills development, community gardens and active travel.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We work with a wide range of organisations in the west Glasgow area including nursery and primary schools, youth projects, community centres, residents associations, housing associations community councils and other local groups. We connect different organisations that have similar issues with regards the local environment and encourage them to work together on the solution.
