We would like to get embroidered Neckers and Badges for old and new members of the group, and wear them with pride on our 110th anniversary.
About this cause
1st Helmsley scout group offers activities, fun and life skills for a all children from the age of 6 to 18 and opportunities to become young leaders and continue as a adult leader. We take the children camping many times a year, from local camping to jamborees in different counties. Next year we will be celebrating our 110 year anniversary of scouting in Helmsley and many years to come. We are hoping with a lot of fundraising is have a new hut built as ours in now around 88 years old. We always attend remembrance Sunday in Helmsley and Saint Georges day parade around the district depending who group it that year, this year its our turn to take the lead. How this cause brings people in the community together
Our scout group covers ages from 6-14 and 14-18 as Young leaders, and Adult leaders, who have tremendous skills to cover the age group they cover, from arty stuff to shooting, archery, camping skills, camping in different locations around the UK and possibility in the future, abroad. We also attend district and County camps and events.
