Social Inclusion
We want to deliver online money education workshops, helping people to use online tools to manage their money better.
About this cause
Citizens Advice Manchester offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects. We help 30,000 clients a year in Manchester by providing life changing advice. Delivered across a range of channels by staff and volunteers. From face to face assisted digital support from community venues, or dealing with an eviction via webchat to representation clients at tribunal we aim to be there when we are needed. However as local funding is being cut demand for our help is increasing, our adviceline receives 6000 calls a month and look for funding to develop new more sustainable ways to help and empower Manchester people.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By using local volunteers and delivering the sessions in community venues we will have a team with a keen understanding of the needs and challenges of their residents. We would target those groups who are currently disadvantaged by being digital excluded because of age, language, literacy
