About this cause

The Strawberry Line Café is a successful Community Interest Company employing and training adults with learning disabilities in catering, customer service and hospitality. We raised substantial funds to restore a derelict Brunel building and for the past 7 years. We have been running on a busy railway station in North Somerset, for seven days each week. We employ ten people; five are adults with learning disabilities. Our aim is to continue to provide increased economic activity and independence for young adults with learning disabilities through the provision of training, work experience and employment opportunities in a real-life working environment. The Café fill a gap caused by a shortage of such opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities in the district.
