About this cause

We are a social networking group who supports parents and carers of children and young people who have a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Asperger’s, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD) or (ASC), and communication requirements. We unite parents who understand the struggles of life with children and teenagers with social/communication, Sensory/behaviour difficulties. Parent carers all have experienced ‘the roller coaster ride’ that is the diagnostic/EHCP process and trying to find support, advice and information. Our TAAG Team of volunteers work together in the community with valuable support based on real life experiences, understanding and raising awareness. Provide specialised social interaction activities in an understanding environment.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The project will address the gap in social care provision, will recognise the need for high quality, supported opportunities for children with impaired social and communication skills to recognise they own challenges and be better able to meet them. Work towards reducing the barriers to their inclusion and it will give the wider community the opportunity to better understand hidden impairments.
