About the Project
This project fosters a collaboration between disadvantaged youth and successful creative practitioners. Participants will embark on a cultural and creative exchange, where their ideas and experiences are valued and inspire the music they make. The group will work with our team to organise a public event, which will bring together different groups to celebrate the creativity of young people.
About the Charity
We are a nonprofit community organisation, we deliver creative education programmes for marginalised youth in Thanet. We work in partnership with Turner Contemporary, University fro the Creative Arts and local schools and youth centers to provide high quality, engaging courses that raise aspirations, build self confidence and help forge pathways to continued education or employment. We work with our partners to target vulnerable and hard to reach groups and tailor our projects to meet the needs of the young people. We also commission local creative practitioners to work alongside the young people to break social barriers and form new social bonds. Our aim is to engage young people with their identity, culture and environment and to increase employability and social engagement.
