Friends of St Michael's C of E (Aided) School
Sport
We want to build an all-weather track so local children can enjoy physical activity throughout the year.
About this cause
As the Friends of St Michael’s School, we are a team made up of parents and staff from the school community. A registered charity, we aim to raise money for activities, equipment and extraordinary experiences for the children, which could not otherwise be provided from a normal school budget. We strive to give something back to the children and our community, bringing people together in a fun and relaxed environment. "St. Michael’s is a happy school where the pupils and staff share many special moments together building a lifetime love for learning. It is filled with imagination, nurture, enthusiasm, creativity, risk taking and challenge with our Christian ethos weaving its way throughout all that we do." Judith Arkwright – Headteacher
How this cause brings people in the community together
St Michael’s School is a rural school, with children coming from Aldbourne and the surrounding villages. Our outdoor spaces are used regularly by Aldbourne Pre-school, The Avenue Nursery and Scouts. Furthermore, community groups would have access to ‘Run for Life’. At St Michael’s we believe all children have the right to a happy, healthy and active life.
