Caxton House Community Centre is a long established multi-purpose Community Hub that provides a wide range of diverse, innovative and community led services and activities to our local neighbourhoods. Our primary focus is to take a leading role in the empowerment of deprived neighbourhoods and communities, to bring resources and promote cohesion. We have a proven track-record in delivering an innovative programme of services and activities aimed at preventing and improving a wide range of complex local issues including health inequalities, employability, well-being and access to high quality advice. Through a variety of monitoring, consultation and feedback, we are able to ensure residents are engaged in the design and delivery of all our services and activities.
This project will help tackle vulnerability and social exclusion whilst promoting healthy living & social well-being. We can increase awareness of other sources of support and services within our centre and other local providers. Residents attending the crafts can also teach new skills, bringing different people and communities together to help forge new friendships and improve community cohesion.
