How this cause brings people in the community together
The church contains a series of three brasses dating from 1449, 1468 and 1502. They are all notable and described and illustrated in The Monumental Brasses of Hertfordshire. Sadly, in previous restorations of the church they were relaid onto the floor, where the Martin Stuchfield MBE (a well known adviser on brasses) considers that they are at risk of damage and theft. We wish to remove and relocate these brasses.
