About this cause

60th Bradford North, Thornton Scout Group are based at Thornton Primary School. We presently have 4 active sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers) running from our HQ, covering an age range of 6 through 18 years. As with all Scout Groups we are a voluntary organisation, meaning that all our adult support volunteer their time towards the running of the group, activities and events. Our sections aim to promote the development of young people so that they can achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We run an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Promises and Laws of scouting.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Funds will go towards giving our young people from Thornton opportunities that will develop physical, intellectual and social skills whilst promoting an active lifestyle with the intentions of giving the young people experiences that look favourable by potential employers in the future.
