We would like to replace our outdated lounge and café furniture for the comfort and atmosphere of our members.
About this cause
The Rainbow Centre has been providing it's services now to the local community for 50 years. We are a membership charity providing a Centre for the over 50's or as we like to call it "The Youth Club for the over 50's" We provide fun, leisure and educational activities including dancing, board games, whist, bridge, art and computer classes, pilates, yoga, table tennis to name a few. We have our own small café and provide hot meals and snacks and also provide meals to outside luncheon clubs. The Centre is warm and inviting and new members are always welcome. We are here to ensure that people can remain active in both mind and body. To help people when they may be lonely and isolated which in itself can lead to depression. It has been said that there should one in every town!
How this cause brings people in the community together
This will make our community building much more inviting and comfortable for our members and other groups that use our building. We are completely self funding and any rental we receive is always a big bonus to our annual income.
