About this cause

Girlguiding is an international female organisation which gives opportunities to make friends, have fun and achieve their potential. Our volunteer leaders give their time, passion and effort to ensure all girls and young women are guided in a safe and happy environment. Our headquarters for the SWAN (Slough, West And North) Division is based at Kedermister Hall in Langley where we have regular meetings for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. We are a community hall also used by Berkshire Vision Langley VIP Club , Youth Engagement Slough Club and two regular Church Groups. Our hall is also available for private functions that cater for the widely diverse community. Our objective is to provide a quality hall for all to benefit, especially our ever growing youth population.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Kedermister Hall was purchased brick by brick by the Langley Community in 1988 for the Langley District Girl Guides. The kitchen has not been updated since, and we solely rely on committed volunteers to manage the upkeep of the hall. All users will have a highly presentable kitchen in which to prepare and serve food to a high standard of hygiene. We celebrate our 30th Anniversary next year!
