Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust
Health
We wish to purchase a public access defibrillator cabinet for St. Stephen.
About this cause
ront Line Emergency Equipment trust has an aim of providing public access defibrillator in every town & village throughout Cornwall. Each year we have volunteers who run the London Marathon with the aim of raising funds for a cabinet for their area. We also raise funds through scratch cards & public donations. We provide first aid cover for local community events & have volunteer supporters and community responders who assist. We currently have 159 public access cabinets within Cornwall & want to continue to increase this number. We purchase our cabinets from a Cornish company called Duchy Defibrillators who make the cabinets in Cornwall. Our cabinets are monitored, which allows us to ensure that the cabinets & defibrillators are rescue ready when required, are safe & in date.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will provide two monitored public access defibrillator cabinets to the local community & provide them opportunity to gain training in CPR & how to use a defibrillator. By providing this equipment to the community, the chances of saving someones life when they are suffering a sudden cardiac arrest will increase significantly. With Cornwall being very rural this is very important
