About this cause

Surrey Border Lions are part of an international organisation that raises money locally and puts that money back into the vulnerable in our local communities and we do this while having fun. Last year we partnered with the Bagshot branch of Co-op to use the newly introduced Co-op gift cards as a means to distribute much-needed help at Christmas time. This meant disadvantaged local residents in the three villages we cover (Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham) were able to purchase special treats from their local Co-op to make the season much more enjoyable. Examples of other projects include: funding a patio cover at Stiperstones in Chobham, supporting the Riding for the Disabled team in Sandhurst and giving local disadvantaged children a day trip to Thorpe Park.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Surrey Border Lions Club provides focus for members of our local communities to support local good causes and disadvantaged local residents, by supporting the projects we run. We are in a unique position to be able to respond to these requests where the need is greatest.
