About this cause

We set up the trust fund in 2012 after my 16yr old daughter died of the disease. We have given over £25,000 to the CF ward at the University Hospital of Stoke since then to buy equipment for children so that they potentially do not need to attend the hospital and can be checked at home. We have bought ipads with programmes on to check diabetes and provided inhalers that take 5 minutes to do rather than 20. We intend in the future to help fund bereavement groups for parents of children who have sadly passed away and also to increase knowledge within the GP's surgery regarding Cystic Fibrosis. All funds raised have been spent locally to the Stoke/NUL area.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Children within North Staffordshire that have CF will be able to lead as normal a life as possible without countless visits to the hospital easing strain on themselves and their parents.
