1st Gadebridge Scout Group
Young People
We want to improve the building our young people and local community use by fitting heating and upgrading the toilet facilities.
About this cause
The group resides at Long Arrotts, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 3EY. The group reopened in 2012 with 18 beaver scouts and has grown considerably in size now consisting of 6 sections with over 100 children aged from 6-12 years old, living in the Dacorum area accessing the activities. The group is supported by 14 volunteers (8 leaders and 6 administrators) from the local community. A diverse programme is arranged to provide activities which are challenging and adventurous. Scouts help children develop their full potential. The children develop teamwork, leadership, communication skills and cultural awareness to name a few. The scouts objectives is to actively engage and support young people in their personal development empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
