We want to pay for electrical maintenance and ensuring the efficiency of the heating system in our hall.
About this cause
Cruckton Village Hall is available for the local community to use for Women's Institute, Art Group, 55 Club. It is also open for family celebrations etc in this rural area, where it is good to encourage people to have somewhere to meet. Cruckton & Cruckmeole have no shop, pub or any public buildings apart from the village hall. It was the village school until it closed, but was purchased by the community doing a lot of fundraising.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The village hall is a valuable asset in the small rural community in providing a place for people to meet others and to take part in activities that encourage co-operation and friendship. A warm and safe environment is needed for the local community of all ages to hold events throughout the year. This is the sole public building in the immediate area.
