About this cause

Knaresborough Choral helps bring Choral music to the wider public of Knaresborough, holding an average of three concerts annually as well as community events. We sing at Christmas Market events and at the Knaresbough FEVA Festival. Without these, many people in Knaresborough wouldn't get the opportunity to hear fine music. The 75 members of the society benefit both physically (as singing is good exercise) and mentally, as it helps them keep in touch with their friends, which is very important as many if our members are of pension age.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Will provide our choir with a once in a lifetime, positive, opportunity. It will also add to the status of Knaresborough overall, as it'll be a "small town choir on a big stage". Many of our members are of retirement age, and the choir provides friendship as well as music making, helping their social inclusion.
