Billericay Mayflower Rotary Club
Community Development
Funds would cover materials and labour to ensure that bathrooms are restored to properly functioning facilities.
About this cause
Billericay Mayflower Rotary Club members, by volunteering skills, time, and resources, make a positive difference to the lives of others. Our Club works tirelessly to raise funds for local good causes, placing them right at the heart of their local communities. Our projects include organising and supervising community events (SummerFest, Christmas Market, etc.), promoting the achievements of young people (Laurie Hutchison Music Award, RYLA etc.), helping those who are disadvantaged or disabled Barrow Farm, Thriftwood College etc.), coordinating educational programmes (Jamie's Ministry of Food, teaching young carers how to cook etc.), and working in partnership with local charities (BOSP, Little Havens, Anvil Trust, etc.). Almost all of the money raised goes to the good causes we support.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will provide some of the facilities needed for learning disabled adults to be able to integrate as much as possible into the local community.
