We would like to buy a dinning shelter tent so that we can take the scout sections away on camping trips and have the facility to cook.
About this cause
The 1st Kingswells Scout Group comprises of three sections: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The Scout Group provides a safe and fun environment for boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 to develop their capabilities, by providing the opportunity to experience a range of different indoor and outdoor activities. The activities are designed to encourage the children to self-develop their skills and talents, understand their social responsibility and what they can contribute to their community, and develop their own strengths and potential to produce well balanced and confident young people.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Camping is fundamental to the Scouting philosophy, it develops skills, independence, team work, tolerance and social engagement. All these character traits are what we as Scout Leaders are trying to develop in the children and out into the wider community.
