We are looking for funding to cover cleaning materials and equipment expenses to help restore the homes of the elderly.
About this cause
Evergreen Care Bexley seeks to serve older vulnerable adults in our community by improving their circumstances through advocacy, friendship and practical support. We offer free services and paid-for services, including Befriending, Home Support, Well-being visits, Clean Team, Gardening, Trusted Traders and a discounted costs for the LifeLine24 service. Evergreen has recently entered its fourth year of service to our community and has just welcomed our 300th client to the Evergreen family. We have over 130 volunteers and employ over 30 members of staff to make sure our charity functions at it's best. We proudly became a London Living Wage Employer in March 2017, something quite unique in the care industry, as we believe in looking after our staff as well as we look after our clients.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Clean Team is a free and confidential service for senior citizens in the absence of able family and/or carer support. The transformation it makes to our clients life can be dramatic and can give them a future to look forward to. Seeing their joy at having a clean home once again and seeing them reconnect with family members and friends who have not visited for some time makes this worth while.
