We want to refurbish/replace our twenty year old wooden play equipment and make the play area more welcoming to everyone.
About this cause
Highampton Village Hall is used for many purposes including weddings, christenings and birthday parties. It is regularly used by the pre-school and the village school. All of these events and organisations use the play area. The enclosed play area is within the village hall surroundings is accessible for everyone to use and there is ample parking if needed. The play area was installed approx 20 years ago and it is in need of refurbishing or replacement of the equipment. The play area is in beautiful surroundings and is safe and secure for all children to play in and for their families to get together with friends and enjoy spending time playing with their children Our objectives are to upgrade the play area to make it more welcoming for all children and their family and friends.
How this cause brings people in the community together
A more welcoming enclosed play area would provide somewhere for the local community to get together and enjoy socialising while the children benefit from social skills and independence playing outdoors with other children, exercise, learning and family time.
