Medway Branch of Parkinson's UK
Sport
Exercise is as important as medication for Parkinson's. We aim to provide an exercise programme for all affected by the condition.
About this cause
Medway Branch meets once a month on a Saturday. We provide a full programme of activities designed to meet the social, physical and emotional needs of our members . These include quizzes, therapeutic singing, talks, practical demonstrations, support groups ( one for those with Parkinson's and one for the carers.) subsidised aromatherapy
How this cause brings people in the community together
Through promoting the project, the wider community will become more aware of Parkinson's and the need of those with the condition to be allowed to take control whenever it is safe to do so. We will try to address issues of social isolation by raising awareness of Parkinson's and encouraging other s affected by the condition to join in with some of the exercises whenever possible.
