About this cause

We help unemployed 16 to 64 year olds move into sustainable employment. West Fife Enterprise has been making a difference to individuals from communities for over 30 years. Originally set up to relieve poverty in the hard hit mining villages of West Fife, West Fife Enterprise has delivered skills and employability training across a range of sectors, helping hundreds of participants gain new skills, confidence, and sustained employment. Currently West Fife Enterprise focuses on employability through the delivery of SQA / ECDL / BSC qualifications, employability skills - including interview preparation, job searching and applications, and work experience placements with employers. Last year we worked with 133 people. 70 moved into jobs, and 50% of these sustained for over 6 months.

How this cause brings people in the community together

When someone has a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 7-10% If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74% We will install 2 AEDs accessible 24 / 7 for the Valleyfield residents, West Fife Enterprise trainees, and other users of the local area
