We need resources to deliver our course to 48 girls in the Leamington Spa Area over the next year.
About this cause
Flourish provide support for teenage girls aged 11-18 to overcome the issues and pressures holding them back and be released into their fullest potential. We provide small group and one-to-one mentoring programmes for girls presenting with issues of low self-esteem and mental well-being, offering a safe space to: Explore issues and pressures they are facing, grow self-worth, improve body-image, develop emotional resilience, improve mental well-being, make safer choices and raise aspirations. Our charity objectives are: - To promote and protect the health and well-being of teenage girls: We do this working through schools, families, agencies and churches. - To advance the Christian Faith: We do this through particular projects to the church community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Previous courses demonstrated amongst the participants: Improved self-esteem, mental-well-being, confidence and emotional resilience, raised aspirations and girls making safer choices. Schools have commented on improved confidence and behaviours of the girls who have taken part. Volunteers and course leaders act as positive role models. Girls are encouraged to become role models to their peers.
