We want to purchase outdoor resources and a rain shelter to allow the young children to play out in all weathers.
About this cause
A community Pre-school established in 1972, Young Risers is a non-profit organisation offering early years education for children aged 2-5 years. Run by an elected parent committee & staffed by a team of qualified professionals, the children are predominantly from the local area and include a couple of 'children in care’. The Pre-school prides itself on the ‘Good’ Ofsted rating it achieved last year. We are looking to raise funds for our garden area which is looking in a poor state of repair. We encourage the children to experience the outdoors in all weather and safe, appropriate equipment is needed for this to be successful. We have been unable to replace the broken play equipment due to lack of funds & also wish to establish our garden planting area for the children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The children at the Pre-school do not all have access to outdoor space at home also we are the only Pre-school in the area with the least play space and by making it as usable and 'educational' as possible this will encourage parents to choose us helping with sustainability. The outdoor growing area will help with the children's development and give extended opportunities for play and learning.
