We want to buy activities (archery/climbing) and camping equipment to support our 150 children on their learning and activities programme.
About this cause
We are a local scout group that aims to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local and national communities. The method of achieving this aim is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training and activities based on the Scout Association promises and guided by an adult leadership team and parent representatives. We welcome children from 6yrs to 18yrs and aim to give them fun, challenge and everyday adventure. We are a group of 150 members and want to give our children opportunities that they would not normally get the chance to experience. We work with, and for the betterment of our young people at all times.
How this cause brings people in the community together
In a lot of cases, the children within Ash Green Scouts come from families where both parents work (inc weekends), single parents and some looked after children. Our camping and activities programme provides a safe and secure environment for our Scouts to have fun, learn, develop and grow into honest, well balanced and self sufficient individuals who will want to give back to their local community
