We want to give young people the opportunity to take part in activities and opportunities to help increase their confidence and aspirations.
About this cause
We work together with young people across Torpoint and Rame to reach their potential. Some of our objectives are; Provide a safe welcoming space for young people in Torpoint and Millbrook, bring together young people to socialise, make friends and support each other, Identify and address any issues or needs that young people are experiencing – through one to one work, group work activities/ interventions or sign posting to other agencies. Ensure that young people’s needs and views are embedded throughout the project, actively involving them in the design, delivery and evaluation of our work. Give young people the opportunity to take part in training and accreditation and to support them to increase their skills, increase their self-confidence and improve their aspirations.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project would help the local community by giving young people a safe place where they can meet with friends and take part in activities and opportunities, this would help keep young people off the streets helping reduce the chances of anti social behaviour. Staff would be able to support young people to be more invested in the community by getting more involved in community based volunteering.
