We are in need of a gazebo and interactive games to increase public engagement at events, providing substance misuse awareness and support.
About this cause
Addaction support people to make positive behavioural change. Whether that's a problem with alcohol, drugs, or emotional health and wellbeing – we’re here to help people make changes to their lives in ways they never thought possible. We work with individuals at 121 service locations across England and Scotland. Services include: - Adult drug and alcohol treatment - Young Addaction, support for young people - Mental health services - Criminal justice, substance misuse and mental health support to people in prison
How this cause brings people in the community together
1 in 5 people are affected by substance misuse. In North Somerset we support adults, families and concerned others. Our project will allow us to reach and identify more people in the community who are in need of support. This gives individuals an opportunity to speak about their concerns in an informal way and helps break down the stigma and shame that can be associated with addictions.
