We want to provide training, development and support in the arts for young people with a focus on those from hard to reach backgrounds.
About this cause
As the Creative Hub at the centre of Exeter, Devon and arguably the South West, we are unique in our delivery of a diverse programme of Music, Performance, Visual Art, Film & Digital Production, and the crossover between these art forms. We provide an eclectic, inclusive and accessible programme of events, activities and opportunities for artists and audiences alike. We are open to ideas and suggestions from the large number of artists and groups who pass through our doors, and due to this we are known as a catalyst for a wide range of projects, partnerships and initiatives, nurturing talent, providing platforms and incubating the next generation of artists. Nearly 300k people visit our building each year to learn, enjoy and participate in the best the contemporary arts has to offer.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This group will do the following for the beneficiaries: - allow them to learn new skills - give them increased opportunities to develop their careers in the arts - improve their confidence - increase self awareness and self reflection - increase a sense of belonging amongst their peers - encourage a sense of fun - research local stories of interest for artistic interpretation.
