We want to replace our old lighting equipment so we can continue to put on shows in Pyrford Village Hall.
About this cause
PLT is an amateur dramatics group which stages several shows a year, including a pantomime, and shows at the Pyrford Village Hall and Rhoda McGaw theatre in Woking. We are comprised of members of the local community and we also have shows that are run for charity, often for local causes. Our constitution sums up nicely what we do: "The objective of Pyrford Little Theatre shall be to educate the public in the arts and sciences particularly the art and science of drama". We welcome anyone who wants to join us and are a key part of the dramatic arts around Pyrford and Woking.
How this cause brings people in the community together
PLT has been a core part of Pyrford and one of the biggest users and supporters of the Pyrford War Memorial Village Hall over the years. Many of the local community come along to our shows and there are social events that borrow PLT's equipment for their events too. So it's not just PLT that would benefit but potentially any user of the hall.
