We want to be able to take the girls away on an overnight weekend stay at an education/activity centre.
About this cause
Our Girl Guides aims to help the community in any way that we can. We do beach clean-ups and any other environmental cause (planting trees, litter picking), we help at local events such as bake sales, stewarding and promoting guiding in the local area. As the unit leader I need to promote the girls promise and motto by helping them take part in activities, projects, badges, camps and educational programs to help them fulfil their personal goals. I would like them to be able to experience things they may not in the family home and not all of these opportunities are free, therefore any financial assistance is greatly received.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Once the girls know more about conservation and the local area they will be able to promote environmental safety, they will become more rounded members of the community and be able to help and support their local area. They will be equipped to assist the community and share what they know with others.
