We want to continue to create more garden and build an outdoor cabin area for year round learning outdoors with support from Permaculture.
About this cause
A committee run Preschool based in Hatherleigh community centre having run for over 30 years offering sessions to children from age 2. Monday to Friday 9 to 3 with extra breakfast and after school hours available in the week, .We use the EYFS to provide a wide curriculum to educate the children,working with parents, teachers, health visitors,speech therapists, local children centres and Devon county council to ensure every child has their own individual needs met. Staff receive regular training updates and are passionate in ensuring that children get the best possible start in life. We help to develop their personal and social skills, through teaching and learning through play, this prepares children for " school readiness"and the support to enable them to reach their full potential.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We hope this will be an extra opportunity to work with our parents and by creating an enabling environment outdoors the children will have more passion for growing and eating the food they have grown, also learning to work as a team caring for their local environment. The children will hopefully then want to continue this at home with their families.
