We need various items to continue promoting social inclusion and fund projects that will benefit the community.
About this cause
Aston Tara is a community group based at Hepworth Drive Swallownest Sheffield. Our objective is social inclusion within the community. Hepworth Drive had had been a PACT priority from 2005/6. Aston Tara works closely with Local RMBC councillors, Housing/Neighbourhood officers, Youth services, Rotherfed & local PCSO’s so together we identified issues /needs within the area & by including all residents social within the community this led to the PACT priority been removed for almost 4 years now. Aston Tara actively hold community events,, workshops, coffee mornings, family coach trips & annual pie n peas event for elderly yearly. Thanks to community support this has helped us go from strength to strength in the community & we are now a point of contact on social media via Facebook.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By involving the community in our projects they would engage, appreciate & respect . Our coach trips would give the chance form all ages to enjoy a day away & mix socially together. We know from past coach trips they are a welcome break for some residents young & elderly Our newsletter would enable us to keep the community informed & a fund raising candy floss maker -everyone likes Candy Floss
