About this cause
Rothbury Juniors Football Club (part of Rothbury Recreation Club) is a community based football club serving young people in the area from U7s to U15s. We have approximately 100 junior members who train and play on a weekly basis. Our objective is to encourage as many children as possible from Rothbury and surrounding areas to get involved with football. We do this through structured training at our five-a-side facility as well as competing in the Glendale League at Wooler.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Not only will this project help the young people of Rothbury and surrounding areas develop their footballing skills but in the process will also help teach them the values of co-operation, team-spirit, discipline and hard work. In addition it will help increase physical activity and reduce screen time helping them to lead healthier, happier lives.
