We would like to purchase two new saddles for two new members of our amazing herd of therapy horses in order that our clients can benefit.
About this cause
Herefordshire RDA is a local charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for disabled people from very young children to older adults in their retirement. Through the magic of quine therapy, our riding and carriage driving sessions aim to improve mobility, provide mental and physical stimulation witht he opportunity to open up new horizons. At Herefordshire RDA we it's "What you CAN do that counts" and we encourage our clients to believe this philosophy. At present, we have over 256 clients accessing our charity services. The simple pleasure of being with horses is the building block of all our RDA activities and from that starting point, everything else flows. Freedom of movement, gaining confidence and life enhancing physiotherapy or achieving personal goals.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The horses are the integral part of the therapy we offer at the Centre and their welfare is paramount. Correctly fitting tack means the horse is comfortable whilst working with our clients. The equine therapy we offer is open to all disabled and disadvanted people in the local community. Local schools, residential homes and day care facilities already access our services.
