Cardenden Community Shop

About this cause

The community shop is part of the C.C.D.F. who have been working on an action plan for 2013-2018. Part of this was the opening of the community shop. The community shop provides good quality second hand goods. At affordable prices for the people in the village and surrounding areas. We live in an area where there are a lot of people on low wages. Many are one parent families and are affected by the welfare reform. So to have a community shop in the village is a great advantage to them. We also provide opportunities for people to volunteer, this helps them in many ways. We also help people who need hands on working experience to help them get back into the work place.
