Young People
We would like to re-instate our unused climbing wall and introduce climbing/abseiling as a major adventure activity in our group.
About this cause
The Scout Association works with young people to provide structured learning and experiences. With a focus on the outdoors it provides the opportunity for adventures and independence. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. The Spondon Scout Group has 160 young members from the local community with an age range of approximately 18 years. The activities are organised and supervised by volunteers.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Other community groups would be able to use the climbing wall, making it a new and healthy activity for the community as well as the scout group to enjoy.
